1988 Vegetable Institute of Hunan Agricultural Academy established, and pepper research initiated. XIANGYAN No.1 (also named as “Xiangjiao Yihao”) as the leading Pepper variety in China, got authorization in 1989, which is the first hybrid pepper variety in China and promoted very fast.
1991 “Xiangyan” brand registered
1993 “Xiangyan” pepper was awarded golden prize of “National Star Plant”
1995 APSA investigation show that “Xiangyan” is the largest supplier of pepper seed
1997, PEPPERA was honored as famous brand name in Hunan Province.
1999 “Xiangyan” brand was evaluated with 18 million USD and merged with Yuanlongping Agriculture High Technology Group. So “Xiangyan” Seed Industry Co.,Ltd became one most important subsidiary company of Yuanglongping Agriculture High Technology Group LPHT ( Longping Agricultural High Technology Group) was stock-listed in the Shanghai Stock exchange market in 1999.
2001 “Xaingyan” was awarded as famous brand
2004 Xiangyan initiated reform according to the recombination of LPHT and began to expand business to not only pepper but most vegetable crops.
2005 “Xiangyan” started registration in India
2005 Xiangyan Initiated cooperation with Harris Moran
2006 Xiangyan was authorized with ISO9001-2000 criterion
2006 Xiangyan was authorized as “New & High Technology” enterprise
2006 Seed Import & Export permit acquired
2006 New R&D centre started
2007, Xiangyan became a membership of Aisa & Pacific Seed Association
2009 "Xiangyan" was awarded as "Hunan Famous Brand" for the fourth time
2010 "Xiangyan" was awarded as "China Top Brand", which is the first honor in the vegetable seed industry of China
