Since taking office as the chairman and general manager of Hunan Xiangyan Seed Industry Co., LTD. in 2005, in the face of numerous difficulties such as the split of the original Xiangyan into three parts, incomplete personnel, and poor business environment, he rose to the challenge and proposed the vision of "building a century-old Xiangyan and striving to become the No. 1 brand in China's vegetable seed industry". After several years of unremitting efforts, Xiangyan has built an outstanding team. Significant progress has been made in research and development, production, marketing and management, and the business has shown a favorable situation of continuous growth. In terms of management, it has been pioneering and innovative, breaking the traditional organizational structure of research, production and sales, and establishing a divisional business model centered on products and self-financing. The reform of the management mode has greatly mobilized the enthusiasm of the team for work and achieved the overall profitability of the company. In 2022, the company achieved sales revenue of nearly 10 million USD and a net profit of over 2.7 million USD, marking another glorious moment for the company.

He has led and participated in the breeding of over 40 new pepper varieties. Among them, 7 new pepper varieties he led in breeding have passed national identification, and 22 have been approved by the crop variety approval of Hunan Province. Particularly in the breeding and application technology of male sterility in hot peppers, he has reached the leading level both at home and abroad and has bred over 40 male sterility lines of various types of hot peppers. Since 2000, the hot pepper varieties that he has led and participated in for selection and breeding have been cumulatively promoted over 460,000 hectares both within and outside Hunan province, generating social benefits of over 50 million USD. Among them, the cumulative promotion area in Changsha City is over 53,000 hectares, creating benefits of over 700,000 USD for hot pepper farmers.

During the tenure, a total of 32 hot pepper varieties were bred, among which 5 were approved by the state, 18 by Hunan Province, 8 CMS sterile lines and 1 GMS sterile line were approved. Four hot pepper varieties have obtained the plant new variety right certificates issued by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. Another 14 hot pepper varieties are in the process of applying for plant new variety rights.
